News A year or two ago me, Amateur God's singer Helena and band Veto (www.vetoband.net) made an effort of composing a song together. The purpose of it was to enter the Eurosong contest, but we didn't succeed. The song was cute and listeners liked it. It was just not enough comercial and cheesy for the wider audience. Veto's guitar player, the member of that band that I am mostly in contact with, asked me to repeat this experience and work together again on some new material. I will. And the song we already did? It will be featured on the next El Soter's album... whenever I will have time to finish it. 2. Car Crash in the Casino It happened the day that I was writing previous newsletter, but I was too much under the shock to write something about it. That day I went to work in the afternoon. I parked the car in the front of a casino that is located in the same building as our offices. Casino is underground and there is an inclined pathway cca 3 meters wide leading downwards. I parked there and jumped out of the car, just to run in the office for the other car's keys. Few steps after I left my car I heard crashing and sound of breaking objects. My car that was parked on flat surface (as it seemed to me at first, but later I've seen that it was just a little bit inclined), moved and headed down the pathway of the casino. It was stopped by the smoking area that was completely destroyed. I forgot to put a hand brake. I never ever forget that. Never! I just forgot to put it when there was absolutely no need to. Can you imagine how a person can feel after seeing his/her car destroying casino entrance? By my own stupidity. At least no-one was hurt or that would put me in a big trouble. The police came and they told me I was the 3rd one whose car runaway into that casino destroying it. I made pretty small damage compared to them. Policeman also told me that they have plenty of accidents registered because of forgetting to put on the hand brake. You might ask yourself what happened to my car. A scratch on the front bumper and fallen registration tab. 3 EUR (5 USD) of damage on my car. When I bought Kia I didn't buy it as a real estate destroyer, but I can see that I made a right choice. As my friend who is a mechanic says: »Koreans and Japanese just know how to build a decent car.« 3. To the North »We're heading to the north...« I think that this is the first song I wrote for this album. I just wanted to make it musically simple and flowing. That is why I put it to the end of the album to release the tension used in previous 40 minutes. This song is also one of the few where I have used Fender Stratocaster from 1965. The message of the song is that everything's going to hell and in an shipwreck ambient. There was also an idea to make a video for this song with two people on lumber raft: me as an ruined aristocrat and my majordomo...
