1. News

Sorry for that much of delay. I was away from you for three months due to my work at the university. It's been  more than two months that I started to teach at the University of Natural Sciences in Ljubljana. It's only a temporary solution and I'll be back in my regular artistic work before the summer.

Video The Hail will be presented on European Media Art Festival in Osnabrueck, Germany (www.emaf.de) from April 22nd - 26th 2009.

...a.k.a. 365,25 days. It's been one year since the Appletree of Discord album was released, although it was conceived months before. Due to this anniversary, we on Neversun Shop are giving you special, more affordable prices for this album, while in other shops the pricing will remain unchanged.

3. Girl in Pink, for Example

This is the only instrumental song on the album and pretty low tempo compared to the rocking atmosphere of the others. Call it an intermezzo inside overall composition of the album. Technical curiosity about this song is that it  was recorded with seven guitars.

The story behind this song starts in Bulgaria a couple of years ago. I was invited by the Computerspace (International Festival of Computer Art) organizers and was staying there for a couple of days. I connected very  well with two artists, also invited there - one from Greece, the other one from Germany. We felt like we knew each other for years,  although it was only two days.

One evening we decided to visit some local clubs for the music, drinks and fun. We were suggested to go to the students camp. So we did and the first club didn't seem very friendly since one of my two new friends almost got in a fight with a drunken visitor. We quickly left the place and changed the location to a neighbor club specialized in Balkan music.

Completely different mood. Black walls in this club were ornamented with carved-in lights, the music was playing with a melos so typical in a range from Macedonia to Greece and the atmosphere was just pretty. We stayed for few drinks and in there I saw a girl of a disarming beauty. She wasn't Miss Southern Europe or Playmate goddess design. Just somewhat different. Something mesmerizing. I showed her to my German friend and he agreed to my thoughts about her. She was in company of a guy and she seemed pretty much into him. Probably a boyfriend. He was apathetic towards her, thou.
 
Due to her pink and white striped sweatshirt I decided to entitled the song about this mysterious fay "Girl in Pink, for Example". Well, honestly it wasn't about her, but about the feeling and mood that her appearance managed to have on us.

What about Greek and German guy that we connected so well on that trip? I never heard from them again.
